Carbon monoxide (CO) is a colorless, odorless, and tasteless gas that is "toxic." When gas is burned in household appliances without sufficient oxygen, incomplete combustion can produce carbon monoxide.
The main source of carbon monoxide in the home often results from improperly installed gas water heaters or poor ventilation in the environment. Additionally, using charcoal or gas stoves in enclosed spaces, such as during cooking or gathering around a hot pot, can also produce carbon monoxide, leading to poisoning. Therefore, special caution is required. Since carbon monoxide is colorless and odorless, individuals may not notice its presence after inhalation, but its toxicity is harmful to the human body, which is why it is known as the "silent killer" in the home.
Maintain proper ventilation in the home to avoid carbon monoxide poisoning.
Gas water heaters should be installed by qualified technicians.
Ensure adequate ventilation when using a water heater indoors to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning.
When eating barbecue or hot pot, ensure proper ventilation to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning.
